Once the video is generated, you can also tweak and edit it based on your taste and requirements conveniently on VEED.
[#TOC2]How to Use Video GPT to Generate Videos[#TOC2]
Before you begin, make sure you have a ChatGPT Plus account. Then, follow these super simple steps to generate an awesome video with Video GPT.
Step 1: Open Video GPT by VEED from the GPT Store and Get Started
Head over to the GPT Store and search for Video GPT by VEED in the search bar. Click on it when it appears in the results. This will launch Video GPT in a separate tab with a new chat.
Tip: click on where it says “Video GPT by VEED” in the top-left corner, and select Keep in sidebar. This way you won’t have to manually search for Video GPT in the GPT Store every time you have to use it.
With Video GPT open, you’ll get the following 3 options to get started:
- Let’s create a video!
- AI text to speech
- Create AI Avatar video
- Write a video script
For this tutorial, we’ll keep our focus limited on the first option i.e. Let’s create a video, as that covers the other three as well. Click on it.
Step 2: Tell Video GPT What Type of Video You Want to Create
Once you click on Let’s create a video, Video GPT will ask you a few questions to get context about your video project, such as:
- The goal and purpose of your video
- Target audience
- Intended mood and tone
- Video length (can be up to 3 minutes long)
Provide descriptive answers to these questions. You may choose to type out your responses in a single paragraph, or break your answers into a numbered list. For instance, a sample text prompt could be:
“I want to make a short Instagram Reel on traveling tips for Tokyo, Japan. It should be a short, roughly 60-second video, with 5 or 6 of the most insightful tips. The target audience for this video is tourists visiting Tokyo, Japan for the first time. The overall mood of the video should be positive, which makes viewers feel relaxed and excited about wanting to travel to Japan.”
Tip: make your prompts as descriptive as possible. The more context you provide to Video GPT, the closer the outcome would be to the vision you have in mind for your video.
Step 3: Answer Additional Questions to Provide More Context
Depending on your specified topic and vision for your project, Video GPT will ask you some additional questions. For instance, if your topic is “Travel Tips for Japan,” the AI will ask you questions such as:
- Do you have any specific tips in mind already? Or would you like ChatGPT to research the tips for you?
- Would you like any specific visuals or style mentioned in the script?
- Would you like the script to include any personal experiences?
Again, provide as much information as possible. The output will only be as good as the prompt, so make it count.
Note: the questions may differ each time, but Video GPT will get all the context you need every time to make a great video.
Step 4: Provide Your Script or Review the Outline (and Modify if Needed)
When you’re done providing all the additional context, Video GPT will prepare an elaborate script for your video. Take your time to carefully review, and if you want to make any changes, let Video GPT know.
Alternatively, you can also provide your own ready-to-use script that Video GPT can utilize. Simply add something along the lines of, “I want to use this script:” followed by the script you’ve prepared in the prompt. Video GPT will also provide you with an estimation of your video’s length.
At this point, regardless of whether you provide your own script or let Video GPT take care of it, you will be asked to select whether you’d like to use only an AI text-to-speech voiceover or one of VEED’s AI avatars for your project.
You will also be given the option to select the avatar of your choice (or choose whether you want a masculine or feminine voice for the voiceover).
Step 5: Watch Your Generated Video and Edit on VEED
Once everything is all set, Video GPT will start processing and creating your video; including music, stock footage, and everything else. It’ll take a few moments before the video is done processing. Once done, Video GPT will notify you and then you can proceed to edit your project on VEED.
On VEED, you can tweak your project further to your liking, until it looks perfect. Add or replace stock footage, change the music, use a different font, or even change the script. The possibilities are endless.
Once you’re satisfied with the final result, click on Done in the top-right corner and then click on Download to export your video.
